Abu Dhabi,United Arab Emirates, October 10, 2017: (AETOS Wire) Kitchen knives are being drawn at Roberto’s in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday 11th October 2017 when Enrico Bartolini, the youngest Italian chef to gain two Michelin stars, takes on rising star Francesco Guarracino in the return of ‘Battle of the Chefs’.
Guarracino, the restaurant’s resident Executive Chef in Abu Dhabi,who won the first round in May, will defend his title against Bartolini, who owns and operates four restaurants in Italy – of which two have one Michelin star and one has two Michelin stars – and is Chief Culinary Advisor of the Roberto’s Group.
Each chef will anonymously prepare three of the six courses, to include a mixture of appetisers, shared starters, à la carte mains and desserts. Most of the ingredients have been sourced from Italy.
It will then be down to guests to decide who the ultimate championis.
After sampling each dish, the scores will be tallied and the results announced at an after-dinner reception, accompanied by drinks and live music.
Bartolini, from Brescia in Italy, received his first Michelin star aged just 29, and the second four years later. Renowned for his raw natural talent and ingenuity, which blends classic Italian dishes with contemporary techniques, he says:
"I can’t wait to be back in Abu Dhabi, working with Francesco and his team and cooking for the guests that are coming to enjoy the battle. I will be cooking two dishes that are on the menu in Milan.”

Located in the Rosewood Hotel in The Galleria on Al Maryah Island waterfront, with views over the Abu Dhabi skyline, Roberto’s boasts a contemporary indoor-outdoor dining room and a spacious lounge featuring a lavish bar and DJ.
The ‘Battle of the Chefs’ will begin with welcome drinks at 6.30pmbefore the sit-down dining experience at 7.30pm.
