The third major accolade of the year for Transguard, the Dubai Quality Award from the Dubai Department of Economic Development further underscores the company’s position as a market leader and innovator
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 3 April 2019- (AETOSWire) - Transguard Group announced today that it has won the Dubai Quality Award (DQA). Presented to Transguard during a ceremony at Madinat Jumeriah, the Dubai Quality Award honors companies for their outstanding commitment to continuous improvement and business excellence. Transguard Cash Services previously won the award in 2018.
“At Transguard, continuously improving all aspects of our business is at the forefront of our strategy, and our people are the foundation of our success,” said Greg Ward, Managing Director, Transguard Group. “Winning the Dubai Quality Award celebrates our brilliant people who continue to take this business forward. I’m extremely proud that Transguard was recognized by the Dubai Department of Economic Development for business excellence.”
The Dubai Quality Award, based on the Excellence Model used by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), evaluates nominations on Leadership, Strategy, People, Partnerships & Resources, and Processes, Products & Services, as well as Customer Results, People Results, Society Results, and Business Results. The Dubai Quality Award is the second level of three of the awarding program, with the next and last level being the DQA Gold.
“Scoring high in all of the DQA criteria is a testament to Transguard Group’s business and operational excellence, including the execution of our strategy and vision; all of which would not be possible without our talented workforce,” Ward commented. “As we continue to improve all aspects of our business further, I have no doubt that our people will be at the forefront of executing this.”
A highlight of Transguard Group’s nomination is its training and development program, which includes Lean Six Sigma training for all its headquarters-based employees and training for its site-based staff through its Center of Excellence – a training facility that utilities real-life scenarios to train employees. Opened in 2017, the Center of Excellence carried out over 800,000 hours of training for its employees in 2018.
“Transguard’s business and operational excellence isn’t possible without this passionate team,” concluded Ward. “I’m extremely proud of the work they’ve done for our organization and the example they’re helping set for business in Dubai and in the region.”
The Dubai Quality Award is Transguard Group’s third major award for 2019; in February, the company received both the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Innovation Award.
