Ajman Municipality on Sunday announced free parking for Emiratis, above the age of 60, in the emirate of Ajman.
The announcement was made to commemorate the 'International Day for Older Persons', which is celebrated on October 1 every year.
Ajman Municipality's post on Instagram read - "Under the direct directives of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Department of Municipality and Planning, and in conjunction with the International Day for Older Persons, the Department announced the granting of permits to senior citizens of the state over the age of 60 years to park their cars free of charge."
With the new directive, the elderly can use the paid car parking space for free of charge.
