Dubai, United Arab Emirates: March 29, 2021-(AETOSWire) – Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Campbell Gray as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Middle East and Africa, effective August 2021, leading the business’s end-to-end advisory, design and engineering and project management services under the Atkins, Faithful+Gould and Atkins Acuity brands. Campbell is replacing Cris Dedigama who will be moving to another role in the Company.

“Atkins has been an integral part of the Middle East’s transformation for more than 50 years, acting as trusted advisors and delivering some of the most iconic infrastructure projects that have helped communities and shaped the landscape,” said Steve Morriss, President, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America, SNC-Lavalin. “With his deep knowledge of the business and the region, and his proven track record in building long-lasting client relationships, Campbell will lead the business in bringing integrated services underpinned by digital technologies and innovative solutions to the markets we serve.”

Campbell is an experienced executive in leading both businesses and projects. His strong ability to drive growth and deliver operational excellence, gained during his 24-year career with Faithful+Gould and Atkins in the Middle East & Africa, the UK and Asia Pacific, will position the business well for the future. Campbell went to Currie & Brown in the fourth quarter of 2019, and is now returning to Atkins, member of the SNC-Lavalin Group.

The company is transforming the way it delivers projects, using new digital and data-driven tools and technologies. Digital means delivering a data-rich design environment that sustains greater collaboration, enables ‘delivery fit’ designs to eliminate cost and delays, a programme management office that leads the way, and operation-ready digital twins that can demonstrate asset behaviour in real time. In addition, the business is collaborating with key stakeholders across the Middle East region to drive strategic initiatives and planning focused on enhancing wellbeing and quality of life, and developing housing programmes that meet the needs of the growing population.

Together with SNC-Lavalin, a global fully integrated professional services and project management company, Atkins helps clients plan, design and enable major infrastructure projects, and provides expert consultancy that covers the full project lifecycle. The company has a track record of delivering and supporting flagship projects in the Middle East such as the Dubai Metro, Burj Al Arab, Dubai International Airport and King Abdulaziz International Airport, King Abdullah Financial District, Diriyah Gate, and Six Flags Qiddiya theme park.

The company’s end-to-end business advisory, design and engineering and project management services also include Atkins Acuity and Faithful+Gould brands and offerings. Atkins Acuity combines management consulting, financing and technical capabilities to help clients solve complex front-end problems in the built environment. Faithful+Gould provides integrated project and program management consultancy, independently or alongside Atkins.
