(AETOSWire) -- Emirates Hospital has announced the launch of its first Day Surgery and Medical Center in Dubai Motor City earlier today. The state-of-the-art medical center will provide same-day surgery and specialized medical services to residents of Dubai Motor City and surrounding areas.

The launch was held in the presence of His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board and Director General of the Dubai Health Authority.

The new location is one of the first day surgery centers in the company’s expanding medical care network. The company is an active contributor towards the growth and advancement of the healthcare sector in the UAE, and continues to provide a healthcare ecosystem that improves health, quality of life and the overall well-being of the communities it serves.

Commenting on the launch, His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami said: “Dubai encourages the concept of one-day surgery centers, which have become a popular and successful concept around the world. These facilities are known to offer high-quality services and we congratulate Emirates Healthcare Company for opening this first-rate facility in Motor City.”

Yazen Abu Gulal, Chairman of Emirates Healthcare Company and CEO of KBBO Group said: “We are expanding our network into Motor City to fill a particular gap in the healthcare offered within this community. We want to serve the community as more than just another clinic. This expansion means local residents and guests will have access to a wider range of specialty medical and surgical services by our highly-trained doctors. The medical landscape of Motor City, Sports City, Jumeirah, and Arabian Ranches, has traditionally been oriented towards clinics, so with the opening of our new One-Day Surgery & Medical Center, patients will now have access to a complete spectrum of advanced treatments, from pediatric to geriatric care.”

The center’s outpatient services will include expert medical care in family medicine, pediatric, ENT, cardiology, dermatology, plastic surgery, orthopedics, general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, ophthalmology, dentistry and radiology. The four-floor medical facility is also designed for complete convenience for patients and visitors with nearly 50 parking spaces on two basement levels.

Other facilities include eight in-patient beds, operation theatres equipped with the latest medical and surgical technologies, advanced laboratory and radiology facilities, and a fully-equipped endoscopy suite that also offers laser endoscopy.

Commenting on the new Motor City location, Karan Rekhi, Branch Director, Emirates Hospital – Day Surgery & Medical Center said: “We are excited to be able to provide our patients a world- class surgical experience in Motor City. The purpose of this expansion was to provide the newest technologies and the best of Emirates Hospital healthcare available in an all- new state- of- the-art surgery center to cater to the rapidly developing communities on this end of Dubai. This new location means that our patients can take advantage of more complex surgical procedures without leaving the comfort of their community.  Every decision was made in partnership with our surgeons and perioperative team with the patient’s well-being in mind. The new facility provides us room to grow, while keeping the needs of the patient at the center of what we do.”

The new Day Surgery & Medical Center is one amongst the various initiatives being taken by Emirates Healthcare Company in its efforts to contribute to healthcare advancements in the UAE. In 2017, the company opened its new 100-bed Emirates Hospital in Jumeirah, followed by the inauguration of Emirates Specialty Hospital, a 100-bed hospital in Dubai Healthcare City earlier this year.
