3 dimensions of excellence for data centers and local networks

7 January 2018, (AETOSWire): Legrand, global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, is announcing the launch of LCS3, its new structured cabling offer. This comprehensive range of both copper and fibre optic cabling solutions allow meeting the challenges of rising data volumes exchanged in buildings, the proliferation of networks and the need for higher data speeds.

Performance,scalability and efficiency

LCS3represents a major upgrade of Legrand’s structured cabling offer, providing networks with greater performance, scalability and efficiency. It enables greatly increased speeds, through high-category RJ45 connectors and even more high-performance new fibre optic connectors which can provide speeds of as much as 100Gbps. LCS3 also offers modularity via drawers that enable a mix of fibre optic and copper while increasing the number of connection points.Meanwhile, the new rack servers allow optimizing energy, and both installation and maintenance are made easier by the new connector locking system and automatic pull-out sliding cassettes.

Solutions for all your projects

LCS3allows everyone, be they an investors, specialists or non-specialist installers, to find the answer to their particular needs. It is equally suitable for the requirements of local area networks (LANs) and those of data centers which require speed, high density, scalability and guaranteed continuity of service. The added bonus is its synergy with other Legrand solutions, such as the new LCS3 enclosures and PDUs (Power Distribution Units), an ideal fit for power distribution.

Innovation inaction

The LCS3range is supported by numerous patented innovations such as the modular cassette system or the new splicer. All copper connectors in the range have been awarded PoE+ standard certification. Moreover, by enabling the setting-up of reliable, high-performance digital infrastructures, LCS3 forms an integral part of the Eliot initiative dedicated to connected devices.
