Dubai, United Arab Emirates (AETOSWire) : Mauritius pavilion welcomes visitors to explore the perfect blend of leisure, investment and business prospects at the Expo 2020 Dubai. Mr. Ken Poonoosamy, Commissioner General for Mauritius Pavilion in Expo2020 and Chief Executive Officer, Economic Development Board of Mauritius welcomed dignitaries and guests to Mauritius pavilion in the official ribbon cutting ceremony and shared highlights of the pavilion with the star studded gathering.
The Guest of Honor for the ceremony, H.E. Amb. Showkutally Soodhun, G.C.S.K, Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius to the United Arab Emirates and Deputy Commissioner General for the Mauritius pavilion, thanked the Government of UAE and the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Hon. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth for their unflinching support in ensuring a successful participation of Mauritius at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Mr. Ken Poonoosamy highlighted the business events and cultural activities that will be held during the six months of the Expo focusing on the country’s vision, sustainable development and its will to embrace innovation.
Through its participation at Expo 2020 Dubai, Mauritius seeks to build stronger bilateral ties with the GCC countries and consolidate its role as a safe travel destination and leading business platform for the region.
The Mauritius pavilion themed ‘Roots of the Future’ showcases the rich and vibrant cultural heritage and provides an insight into the economic pathway towards the journey ushering Mauritius to a high-income economy.
