Police return lost boy to parents in Ajman

The Ajman Police have returned a two-year-old Asian boy, who was found loitering around on the street in Al Bustan area, to his parents.

The boy was found by an Emirati man who informed the police that a small child was found lost on the street. Major Mohammed Al Suwaidi, head of the community police section in Ajman, said that they received the call about the boy at the operations room. They immediately dispatched the community police who rushed to the area and received the boy from the Emirati man. As the boy couldn't speak Arabic, the police faced difficulty in finding his parents. He was provided with food and snacks as well as toys by the cops.

The officers checked all police stations to see if any missing report was filed by the parents. "Since there was no report on the missing boy, police patrols started thorough search for the parents of the child," he said.

Later, his parents were located in Al Bustan area. The mother of the child said he sneaked out of the house while she was busy in the kitchen.

The parents of the child thanked the police for their efforts in bringing him back. They also thanked the Emirati man for his humanitarian act. Major Suwaidi appealed to the people to take extra caution and always keep an eye on their children.

"Close the doors tightly to ensure that the children do not sneak out of the house without your knowledge in case you are engaged in household matters," he urged parents.
