Sharjah, United Arab Emirates: The 2021 edition of the World Wellness Weekend is a special one for Sharjah Ladies Club for winning their second Wellness Champion title for the second year in a row. The World Wellness Weekend, celebrated on the 18th and 19th of September, promotes wellbeing and an active lifestyle, encouraging people to consider their physical and mental health. More than 120 countries participate in the two-day celebration, organizing healthy, fun events for thousands of people.

This year, Sharjah Ladies Club is participating by organizing numerous activities and offers through which it seeks to inspire women and children to adopt a healthier lifestyle, as well as providing opportunities to learn and relax in world-class facilities while taking all safety precautions.

Activities and offers:

On September 16th, the club will be organizing the “Beauty essence” event, where ladies can book special consultations with international specialists from Moremo and Althearah Bio, to explore how they can take better care of their skin and hair. They will also enjoy giveaways and raffle draw gifts from Loreal and Natura Bisse in addition to membership offers when buying 1 year or 6 months’ club memberships.

Orchid Beauty Boutique, will be celebrating this event by offering complimentary hair and skin treatments, massages and nail care sessions when purchasing selected treatments.

While Dalouk Wellness Spa will be hosting free consultations from Altearah’s international specialist. Many luxurious skin treatments will also be offered when purchasing various packages.

The club will also welcome Friends of Cancer Patients Association on the 16th of September and they will be shedding light on the importance of early diagnosis and detection and ways of prevention and treatment through educational activities to raise awareness on cervical cancer.  The participants will receive free vouchers for early detection and special gifts.

On the 18th and 19th of September, Collage Talent Center will be running sports and artistic events for children, as well as free library memberships for two weeks upon registration. On both days, Fitness 180° Center will be offering a full day of energetic workouts, including the Steps Challenge, the winner of which will receive a full month’s membership.

In addition to these fitness events, Sports Complex Facilities will provide beach, Olympic swimming pool and skiing offers taking into account the social distancing and safety procedures.

 Lafeef Restaurant and College Café will offer free healthy drinks when ordering healthy meals from the club’s menus.

On the 19th of September, the club will be hosting the “Healthy and Tasty Workshop” with Chef Majid Al-Sabbagh, consultant at the Club’s hospitality department who will address food safety and prepare healthy dishes, like Pasta, Salads and various others.

SLC branches will also be taking part in this global event by offering exclusive treatments at Joori Beauty Center available in both Al-Dhaid and Al- Hamriya and free machine usage at the gym and pool when buying services from the gym and pools at the branches.

The club’s activities will be actual with all the precautionary measures taken into consideration. The participation will be live on social media platforms @ShjLadiesClub during all the events and activities. The Director General of Sharjah Ladies Club, Mrs. Khawla Al Serkal, highlighted that “the Club’s keenness to participate in this event annually reflects its commitment to promote its mission to motivate women to follow a positive lifestyle and promote health and fitness concepts.”

“The Club accords great deal of attention to all health and physical activities. This is reflected through its various sports facilities and eagerness to take part in the world’s leading health and fitness events,” she added.

Al Serkal expressed her sincere pride in the efforts of Sharjah Ladies Club, noting that the title is awarded to the participants who provide more than 60 minutes of health activity. The club offered two consecutive days of health events and activities that culminated in winning the Wellness Champion title.
