Shop as the locals do in the Traditional Souq, an atmospheric Arabian market with a palm-frond roof, timber beams and coral stone floor.
Regarded as one of the best souqs in the region for traditional tailoring, the recently expanded and refurbished Saleh Souq is a charming mix of past and present.
The souq is part of a heritage path leading from the Corniche to Ajman Museum. You’ll find it on Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Street in the Nakheel neighbourhood, a busy commercial centre known for its traditional-styled buildings.
Shop for souvenirs and gifts such as clothing, textiles, pashminas and curios from around the region and wander among the warren of small shops. Haggling is the norm, and the area really comes to life in the evening, when the souq fills with locals, so be sure to stop by then.
